Taxpayers Association Responds to San Diego City Climate Action Plan Update

San Diego (October 25, 2018) -- Today, Mayor Kevin Faulconer’s office released an update to the City’s Climate Action Plan, which includes San Diego’s approach to potentially implementing a Community Choice Aggregation (CCA) alternative energy option. San Diego County Taxpayers Association President and CEO Haney Hong released the following statement in response:

“We look forward to being a resource for the Mayor's office as they develop a sensible energy solution that works for the City of San Diego. Implementing a Community Choice Aggregation option may expose the region to financial risks that need to be addressed. Informing and protecting taxpayers throughout the County is our priority, and as such we are eager to collaborate with the Mayor's office on the most efficient, effective way to reach San Diego's Climate Action Plan goals.”
