Attend our first 75th Anniversary “Breakfast at Taxpayers: Facts or Fiction Series” on:
SPORTS: HOME RUNS OR FOUL BALLS FOR TAXPAYERS?
Featuring:
Jack McGrory, CEO, La Jolla MJ Management, LLC and City Manager, City of San Diego (1991-1997)
Scott Barnett, President, Scott Barnett Consulting and SDCTA Executive Director (1995-2007)
John David Wicker, San Diego State University Director of Intercollegiate Athletics (2016 to Present)
Moderated by Tom Turner, Vice President of CBRE and SDCTA President (1999-2000)
Please join the San Diego County Taxpayers Association and the San Diego Taxpayers Educational Foundation for the first of many celebrations of its 75th Anniversary! In our “Breakfast at Taxpayers: Facts or Fiction Series,” we meet with experts to reflect on our public policy history — to be honest with ourselves about whether San Diego (or the Association) got it right or wrong!
In our first forum Sports: Home Runs or Foul Balls for Taxpayers?, we’ll start with a honest discussion on our love/ hate relationship with professional and collegiate sports. Did it help us as taxpayers or not? Learn about the infamous ticket guarantee. Or why Petco Park came to be and whether predictions were right or wrong.
Attendees of this breakfast may also become members of both the University Club Atop Symphony and the San Diego County Taxpayers Association for $400, a discount of $1,350 from the combined membership costs of $1,750!
