Independent Citizens Bond Oversight: Holding School Districts Accountable and Keeping them Transparent
Citizens' Bond Oversight Committee’s are established by school district governing boards to oversee the expenditures of taxpayer funded school facilities bond proceeds in accordance with CBOC Bylaws, and the intent of the voter approved bond measure. The taxpayer representative plays a vital role in ensuring district adherence to budgets, timelines, and promises.
SDCTA taxpayer representatives share quarterly reports with our Education subcommittee to keep the Association informed of progress underway. When needed, SDCTA can step in and help bring attention to potential issues at hand.
